Teacher Training
Aspects of American Culture 2019
This annual event enables teachers and students of English to expand their knowledge of various issues concerning American culture as well as literature and provides them with helpful teaching material in order to transfer this knowledge into the EFL-classroom. The lecturers – native speakers of English and specialists in American literature, culture, and teaching – will offer practically relevant presentations and conversation sessions will allow for further discussions of the topics presented during the conference and beyond.
On March 15, 2019, teachers and students from Thuringia, Saxony, Lower Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt will participate in lectures, conversation sessions, and workshops, which offer insight into complex topics of American culture and their practical relevance for the English foreign language classroom. This year’s presentations and workshops will focus on cross-cultural exchange in language learning, American popular music, media literacy, and wordless picture books in the EFL classroom.
